The Bank of New Zealand’s former headquarters was built on the site known as Plimmer’s Ark, which included a boat-building workshop that made boats for nearby settlers. Built with brick walls and wooden floors it has pressed metal ceilings decorated with plasterwork inside
The Old Bank Arcade consists of four buildings constructed between 1883 – 1904 at Lambton Quays in Wellington. The most prominent structure there is NZB Building (no 1) also called “Bank House” located on the wedge shaped property overlooking both sides along Lambton Key & Customhouse Key respectively.
