The long-awaited announcement is made. SIX60 SATURDAYS is returning for 2022, according to the press release.

The SIX60 SATURDAYS tour has taken off since it began in 2019, playing to 50,000 fans at the historical sell-out show at Auckland’s Western Springs Stadium. The band has already performed concerts throughout New Zealand this year, including two stadium shows and four open air events, selling over 175,000 tickets.

“We’re ecstatic to be announcing SIX60 SATURDAYS for 2022. For us, the goal is always to improve ourselves and outdo what we’ve already accomplished. Playing six stadium shows on this tour is significant; it not only sets the bar for ourselves, but it also poses a challenge to touring artists from other countries.

“We cannot wait to see you all at SIX60 Saturdays The Stadium Tour,” – SIX60 ”

For the first time ever, SIX60 SATURDAYS will come to ROTORUA with the start of the tour being held at ROTORUA INTERNATIONAL STADIUM. With fans from all across New Zealand and other regions of the country sure to attend, this will be a momentous event for the region.

SIX60 will then sail across the Cook Strait to Te Wai Pounamu, which features DUNEDIN’S FORSYTH BARR STADIUM as its home ground.

The line-up for SIX60 SATURDAYS will include Bring Me The Horizon, Skepta, Mabel and Years & Years. After spending the week at New Zealand’s national stadium EDEN PARK, it’ll wrap up in Auckland on Saturday. This will be the second time the band has played Eden Park in a year.

On Friday, SIX60 celebrated their debut (Gold) album’s 10th birthday. From flatties at 660 Castle Street, playing house parties for their friends to household names selling out stadiums all around New Zealand, SIX60 have gone from being strangers to household names in just ten years. The Gold album alone has spent a total of four.

The singles on the album total 14x certified platinum, including ‘Don’t Forget Your Roots’, ‘Rise Up’, and ‘Forever’ – anthems that have helped to cement New Zealand’s international reputation as a sound-system culture. SIX60 SATURDAY’S 2022 will feature a special homage to the album.

SIX60 has already had a tremendous year in terms of success. Their most recent single, Pepeha (certified Gold), their first bi-lingual track, debuted at #1 on the NZ Singles chart and has stayed there since its release. They headlined the world’s biggest tour this year, playing to 175,000 fans.

The band has been together since 2011, and their song “NYC” was featured in the 2018 film The Greatest Showman. In 2012, the group released their debut full-length album, This is Me. They have been nominated for a total of eight New Zealand Music Awards (NZMAs), including Best Group or Duo five times each.

The SIX60 boys aren’t satisfied with rolling out the same show every year, and they’ve been collaborating with the world’s top production and lighting crews to raise the bar even higher for 2022. The scale and size of these performances are next level. Anyone who saw one of their concerts earlier this year will know how incredible the stage show is.

There have been numerous reports regarding the release of a new album. After six days, SIX60 SATURDAYS 2022 is likely to be one that fans will never forget. Make sure you’re there.
